"Middle of the Page Results" No Longer A Test

GoogleGuy confirms that the middle of the page “See Results for…” is no longer a test. This particular user interface (UI) test was first spotted in August, and has been pretty illusive. Whether you called it the “did you mean…” box or “middle of the page” results, few keywords actually triggered this UI test. Even the example GoogleGuy gives as a search that could benefit from this alternate search suggestion “Katrina” doesn’t actually trigger its display. A couple of months ago, a search on “Mobile TV” would bring this up (because the phrase could be interpreted to refer either to watching TV on a mobile device or television in Mobile, Ala.), but the same search today doesn’t. It took some digging, but I was able to find an example to share (”bad day”). Maybe now that it’s no longer a test, we’ll see more of it.
